What is Fantasy Cricket?

It is an online game where you create a virtual team of real cricket players and score points depending on how your chosen players perform in real life matches. To win a daily league, you must work towards attaining the maximum points and the No. 1 rank on the leader-board.

Salary Cap Fantasy

Salary Cap is one of the many formats of fantasy cricket, and it's the most popular in India. In this format, you will be given a budget within which you will have to pick your players. Every player will have a salary tag attached with him. The salary tag will be based on how good a player is, so obviously good players will be rated high.

You will have team combination challenges as well. Selecting the best team that meets the combination requirements within the budget given to you is where the challenge lies.

1. Join Matches 2. Create Team 3. Score & Win Prizes

You can join two types of leagues: Private (free & paid) and Public (free and paid).

Private leagues are generally used to play among friends. Sometimes users allow their leagues to be open for public as well.
Public leagues, on the other hand, will be managed by Cricbattle.

Join Public League
  1. Select the match you want to play.
  2. Decide which league you want to join either Free or Paid leagues and click on the Join button.
  3. Once you join the league you can create and submit your team.
  4. Manage your team for the match to score points and win prizes.

  3. Once you join the league you can create and submit your team.

Budget limit:

You will be given a budget of 100,000 within which you will have to manage your team. The net worth of the 11 players that you pick shouldn't exceed the limit; it should either be less than or equal to 100,000.

There is no specific way to maximise the fantasy returns of your team. It could be 6 superstar players and 5 rookies or below-average ones or 11 good players with no superstars (superstars in the sense players who value more than 10,000).

The trick to nailing it really lies in how well you analyse the conditions in which a particular match is going to be played in. For ex, if it's a batting deck, you could go big on expensive batsmen; if it is a turner, you could go big on spinners. And so on.

When will my team be locked?

Your team will be locked only when the match starts, so you can make any changes you need to your team till the scheduled start of the match.

Note: If the start gets delayed due to bad weather or any other reasons, it won't have any effect on the locking time.

How do captain and vice-captain changes work?

You can change your captain and vice captain till the start of the first match.

Submit button:

Arguably the most important button of the site. You can do all the analysis, all the homework, be active 24*7 and make all the changes you want, but if you don't save them by clicking 'submit', you are screwed.

Whatever changes you make, be it changing your c/vc or trading out a player, make sure you click 'submit' after doing it. Else, none of the changes you made will be saved.

How are scores awarded to team players?

Your "Playing team" players score points depending on how those players perform in real life matches. Your team players accumulate points from every aspect of cricket action on the field such as bowling, batting, wicket-keeping, fielding as well as man of the match!! The point system is designed differently for different tournaments based on format of matches (Test/ODI/T20), pitch condition as well as weather.

Emergency conditions: If match gets interrupted by rain or the results gets decided by D/L, the fantasy scores for players will be updated as per the ICC rules

  1. Match Result by D/L method : Players will be awarded points
  2. No Result : Players will be awarded for points in tournament league, while players will NOT be awarded points in daily/weekly leauges.
  3. Abandoned Match : No points will be awarded.
How do I win league?

Teams accumulate points on an ongoing bases based on the real performance of the players in actual matches. The team with the highest points by the end of the match will be declared as the League champion.

HELPLINES

To make your job as a selector-cum-manager easy, Cricbattle has employed virtual scouts for you who will come up with valuable information regularly.

Projections - Projections are basically player potential. It is the points that a player is predicted to score. It can be for the entire tournament, round or for the immediate next match, depending on when and where you see.

Player news - If you click on a player, you will be able to see the player's most recent performances, career numbers and his current status - which will also include suggestions from experts on how good a pick the player is.

Form - Form plays a crucial role in a player succeeding on a particular day. A green light indicates that the player is in terrific form. A red light, in bad from.

We collect these data based on a player's recent performances, make a note of conditions that resulted in such a result and relate it with the immediate next match situation and display his form status.

Fantasy Genius - Fantasy Genius is a platform where you can communicate with our users and improve your gaming skills. If you have a doubt, you can post it there and leave it for our users to answer.

If you need any tips, they are there for you anytime.

If you are confused about how good your team is, you can get it rated by our users and make the changes accordingly.

And there is a lot more to do. Check out ---> Click here

Injury icon - This icon denotes that a player is injured and will miss the immediate next match. He will be marked as injured till he gets cleared to play.

Out of the tournament Icon - This icon denotes that a player has been ruled out of the tournament. Holding such a player in your team will be of no use to you. Say goodbye to his services.

Auto-complete - It's there for two purposes.

1. If you find assembling a team a difficult task, which is usually the case with new users, the auto-complete option serves you as a helpline. It picks a team of 11 players fitting both the budget and combination.

2. If you log in seconds before the deadline and you realise you would not be able to do the changes and finalise the team, you can just click 'auto-complete'. It gets the job done faster.

Note: The 'auto-complete' option, by no means, guarantees you the best playing XI for a particular day, but it, sure, does a reasonable job.
